If you are thinking about volunteering. . .

In our busy world, everyone's time is very precious. At Child Adoption Resource Association, we appreciate the special talents of all our volunteers. Whatever your availability may be, we will make sure your time is not wasted!
Call us at 860-444-0553 anytime - if we're not able to answer the phone - we will call you back as soon as possible. If you are a Pfizer employee, please ask Sandra Couillard about a special opportunity to help CT-AFS.

What Can You Do to Help CT-AFS?

We have not met a volunteer whose enthusiasm and skills could not be put to good use. These are some of the routine tasks we could use your help with:

  1. Folding, stuffing envelopes for CT-AFSmailing projects - (not computer-related)

  2. Distributing posters, flyers for fund-raising events - (not computer-related)

  3. Seeking donations as prizes for raffles, and fund-raising events - (not computer-related)

  4. Helping out at information tables/booths at fairs, or other events - (not computer-related)
  5. Helping to organize our annual adoptive families picnic held each summer. (not computer-related)

  • Sep 16, 2009 - Families Needed:
We are now looking for Connecticut parents to adopt infants of all races, including African-American, through private domestic adoption. The waiting period has become much shorter over this past year, so domestic adoption has become a more viable option for many. As always, we are also seeking families to adopt CT state foster children through our grant-funded program "Project CT's Child".
  • May 1, 2009 - Check out the Heart Gallery
If you are considering adopting a child from the state foster care system, please visit the "Heart Gallery", a moving exhibit featuring portraits of waiting children. We can help you adopt these and other foster children. You can view these photos at: www.heartgalleryct.org
  • Apr 17, 2009 - Visit Us on Cable TV
If you live in Southeastern CT, please check out our public access TV show "Families in the Making". The schedule is listed on the section of this website titled: Visit Us on Cable.
